Welcome Note for Freshmen and Returning Students 2015/2016 Academic Year

In compliance with our obligatory responsibility, the Nigerian Students Association (NSA) AIT Chapter wishes to extend her welcoming arms to the new and returning students of Accra Institute of Technology (AIT), Ghana.

The start of a new academic section is an exciting time, and we look forward to welcoming you to the campus community. As you prepare to move in and reconnect with friends, we are writing with a short update about the Nigerian Students Association (NSA) AIT Chapter.

It has been a busy summer and you should expect some changes around campus, from the structures to programs and meeting days. The inauguration of the new elected executives has just been completed a few weeks ago and the newly sworn-in executives are ever ready to help you in matters regarding the NSA and students affairs at large.

Last semester, some students had a serious issue with preparing their resident permit and non-citizenship ID card, this session, the NSA body will be working hand-in-hand with the office of the international student affairs to ensure the availability of these papers for both returning & new students.

There are countless ways for you to get involved and make connections with each other, such as through research and creative projects, student government, campus organizations, intercollegiate athletics and intramural sports, volunteer work in our community, and much more.

I encourage you to take advantage of all that Accra Institute of Technology has to offer during your time here. Students, however, are encourage to stay clear from violence, fraud, sexual abuse, crime or any action that will implicate you or soil the good name of our great nation, Nigeria. The NSA membership form & ID card is now available for both freshers and continuing students.

The NSA membership form & ID card is the only way we can recognize you as a Nigerian student, hence, we advise all eligible students to purchase the form from the financial secretary at Seaview or cantonment campus.

Our mission in Nigerian Students Association is simply to support you and create a living-learning community where you thrive, belong, and are engaged world citizens. Clearly we Nigerian students are the heart of the university and an integral part of our campus. The state and AIT fiscal challenges are difficult, and we realize that you may be impacted as well. We are always available to help you. If you have questions, concerns, or need assistance, just ask. We also invite you to take advantage of our social media outlets:
